With Chanukah around the corner, Torah Academy of Boca
Raton is preparing to host thousands at its fifth annual Community Chanukah
Concert on Tuesday, December 4that Florida Atlantic University’s
Kaye Auditorium in Boca Raton. Jewish singing megastar Yaakov Shwekey will be
headlining the concert, and the highly popular Mordechai Shapiro as well as the
Mesivta of Waterbury will round out the impressive list of performers.
Yaakov Shwekey has been at the forefront of Jewish music for nearly two decades
and will be singing several hits from his wildly popular latest album Musica.
Torah Academy’s Dean, Rabbi Reuven Feinberg, revels in
the opportunity to celebrate our children’s chinuch in such a unifying,
uplifting night of music. “All year long, I look forward to our school’s
coordination of such an enjoyable event for the wider South Florida Jewish
community,” Rabbi Feinberg commented. “The night showcases the values we
strive to imbue every day, of joy and excitement of Yiddishkeit, which are so
beautifully role-modeled by our talented singers.”
This will also be a night to shine for the Torah Academy
Boys Middle School Choir, carefully orchestrated by their teacher Rabbi Netanel
Chait. The boys will be joining Mordechai Shapiro in song, as well as singing
their own arrangements. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for Torah
Academy to merge local and national talent in order to entertain local and
national supporters, thanking them for their dedicated involvement in our
Yeshiva,” noted administrator Rabbi Chaim Glazer.
The concert incorporates many opportunities for
sponsorship, including a corporate sponsor package that offers VIP tickets and
a sponsor ad in a video loop playing in the auditorium before the concert and
during intermission. Attendees that want an even more personalized,
memorable evening can purchase a VIP Experience, which includes a pre-concert
private Chanukah lighting and celebration with Mordechai Shapiro and the
Mesivta of Waterbury, family photos with both Yaakov Shwekey and Mordechai
Shapiro, a special VIP dinner, and more.
Over 1,500 tickets have already been sold, putting the
event on pace to completely sell out. Tickets are open to the public
at www.torahacademybr.org/concert or by
