PHOTOS: Security Forces 32 Eastern Jerusalem Residents Suspected Of Belonging To PA Security Forces

Police report the arrest of 32 suspects, all residents of the eastern capital believed to have joined PA (Palestinian Authority) security forces.

At the end of the investigation conducted by Jerusalem police, 32 suspects, residents of the eastern capital who hold blue [Israeli] ID cards and belong to the Palestinian security forces, with some being recipients of Israeli state benefits, contrary to Section 7 of the Implementation Law prohibiting one from serving in the Palestinian Authority security forces.

Part of the activities attributed to the suspects who live among residents of eastern Jerusalem directly compromises the feeling of personal security of Israeli Arab residents.

A search of their homes revealed thousands of shekels in cash and foreign currency, identification cards from the PA Police, uniforms from the various branches of service, military equipment and various certifications attesting to their completion of related courses in the security services.

All of the suspects were arraigned and are being held in custody.
