The Israeli Police arrested a young Arab male on suspicion of posing as a policeman, driving a police car and arresting drivers in order to steal their vehicle.

On Monday, police arrested a 19-year-old resident of the eastern capital on suspicion of posing as a policeman riding a police car on the road between the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem and Givat Ze’ev by turning on a flashing blue police light and demanding that drivers pull over to the side of the road.

Police suspect he used this method to get motorists to pull over to enable him to steal their car. The Israel Police asks the public that if one encounters such a case, to immediately approach police to file a complaint.
