    I sometimes see comments from people I know are regulars on the site to some
    extent which baffle me as to how a human mind could have produced them
    (and I don’t mean that I strongly disagree with their side of an issue).
    I’d like to warn people not to take anything these people say seriously.

    I think you meant the comments, not the commenters. I also think approving most of the posts, especially worded that way, may not be an option.
