The ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) has made the decision to dismiss 150 agents, the result of a government decision to stop providing bodyguards for all cabinet ministers.
On the day the current cabinet took the oath of office, the ISA was informed that it was no longer responsible to provide bodyguards for all ministers. Some of those being dismissed are employed by a private security company, Mikud, which is contracted by the ISA.
While some of the former bodyguards for cabinet ministers have been offered other work by the company, others will be unemployed.
