The Arab League has just announced its new Jerusalem Fund, committing to funnel $1 billion to “preserve the Islamic character of Jerusalem”. Qatar has undertaken funding a quarter of that sum, $250 million.

Israel Land Fund founder and director Aryeh King issued the following response to YWN-ISRAEL.

“The Israel Land fund has been warning for over five years that enormous sums of money are being funneled into Yerushalayim by hostile nations towards obscuring the true identity of Yerushalayim, the capital of the Jewish People.

“This is expressed in the form of illegal construction which is funded by foreign Arab organizations. This is also reflected by the purchase of real estate from Jews around Yerushalayim, paying large sums of money for the properties as well as by financing for public and legal actions against the Israel Land Fund’s activities together with the activities of other organizations working to settle Yerushalayim.”
