MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Moshe Gafne refers to Minister of Finance (Yesh Atid) Yair Lapid as a megalomaniac who mindlessly repeats whatever is fed to him.
Gafne did not hold back in a scathing criticism of the newly-appointed senior minister. “He does not have minimum experience, not even as a MK. He has no experience but mindlessly repeats what treasury clerks tell him. He has no understanding.”
In his pre-Pesach video (see below), Lapid relates to Moshe Rabbeinu, explaining the “story deals with a person who simply decided to do the correct thing. It is not popular, but he does the right thing nevertheless, even if people do not like it”. Lapid explains he reviewed the Pesach story and he compares himself in the position of finance minister to Moshe, “for Moshe did the correct thing even when it was unpopular.”
“I need you today more than I did during the election period” for the decisions he will make as finance minister will be difficult painful ones.
Gafne continues, explaining “The treasury employees sit opposite the new minister, who does not have any experience, telling him to increase the value added tax. That is simple. Cutting monthly allowances is even simpler. They prepare it and it passes three Knesset readings and it’s a done deal.”
Gafne fears the mainstream media is standing behind Lapid for they feel he will make cuts in yeshiva budgets, and they are pleased with such a decision.

Lapid comparing himself to Moshe Rabbeinu?!! Maybe that was Bennett’s cheshbon for aligning himself with Lapid. He wanted a “Navi” on his team. This guy is really nuts! A dangerous nut!
the BIG difference is that Moshe Rabeinu didnt want his position, lapid is salivating over it
