The High Court of Justice ruled on Wednesday, 29 Marcheshvan, that the Ministry of Religious Services acted flawlessly, rejecting the appeal of the Chabad Mobility Association against the Ministry of Religious Services.
The ruling of the Supreme Court justices joins the ruling of Justice Eli Abarbanel of the Jerusalem District Court, which determined that the tender for the establishment and operation of a project to deepen Jewish identity among young people from the social and geographic periphery of Israel was impeccable.
In the lawsuit filed by Chabad Mobility against the Ministry of Religious Services, the organization’s leaders complained that the winners of the tender were also the El HaMayan organization and believed that the project manager on behalf of El HaMayan did not meet the conditions.
This claim was filed with the Jerusalem District Court, which rejected the association’s petition and charged it NIS 30,000 to cover expenses of all parties.
Judge Mani Mazuz, rejected the petition, stating: “The director-general of the ministry, Oded Flus, who headed the tenders committee, was not in conflict of interests and was not flawed in his conduct or in the conduct of the tenders committee it headed. Judge Mazuz approved the winning of El HaMayan and approved the possibility of the ministry extending the contract by 2020.
Attorney Flus, director-general of the Ministry of Religious Services, said after the verdict was issued: “The High Court justices said clearly that the Ministry of Religious Services operates in full transparency in accordance with the law and avoids politicization. I congratulate the High Court ruling and act to implement the court’s statement In the Ministry’s tenders. ”
