As a result of a vehicular collision at about 9:40AM Tuesday morning, 28 Marcheshvan between two vehicles at Akko Junction East, eight persons including two men, four women and two children were transported to the Galil Medical Center.

According to the MDA report, the woman’s condition was critical, the male, 66, serious and a 5-year-old boy was listed in moderate-to-serious condition. The others were listed in light condition.

MDA paramedic Michael Yachanov said, “We were on our way to a call when the serious accident took place in front of us, as we approached the intersection. We immediately reported the incident to dispatcher, calling for additional units including another paramedic unit to our original call. Two of the passengers were trapped and rescued with the help of the firemen and they were in serious condition. We provided medical treatment and they were evacuated to the hospital while continuing life-saving medical treatment enroute”.

The accident is under investigation.
