I pointed out that 1) some find it offensive 2) IT accomplishes nothing and 3) It can potentially alienate allies
Some people find “clinging to their guns and bibles” offensive too or “if I had a son he would look like Trayvon” but that didn’t stop his majesty from saying that
It accomplishes that it was an act of terror as opposed to “workplace violence” and it should be dealt appropriately
As we see that Trump has said it over and over and Saudi Arabia (an ally) is still on good relations with Trump and while we’re talking about allies how Obama acted to the only democracy in the Middle East (putting feet on table while talking to him, condescending tones to Netanyahu, trying to prop up the opposition as opposed to staying out of it, not vetoing certain UN sanctions, and secretly making a deal with Iran) shows he doesn’t care about alienating allies
