Eren Hess, 44, caused a security incident at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey earlier this week after learning he was bumped from a connecting flight.
The story occurred on Sunday morning 6 Nissan 5773 after Hess, his wife and their two children arrived in the airport from Tel Aviv and were in the process of making their connecting flight to Miami. When they arrived at the gate they were instructed to go to another flight as the United flight to Miami was overbooked.
Hess become enraged according to report, overheard saying at the nearby United Airlines counter “I’m going to go over there and tell the TSA I put a bomb in my bag and get my bag back.”
He and his family then disappeared into the crowd but police caught up with him in another terminal, placing him under arrest. His slip of the tongue resulted in the United Airlines flight to Miami being held for almost three hours while the plane was checked for an explosive device. Passengers were taken off the plane as the luggage was sorted to find Hess’ items.
Hess was charged with “creating a false public alarm”.

not the first israeli ive heard saying that there was a bomb on a plane
Airlines have to stop this Chutzpo of overbooking.
Recently I was travelling with my spouse, and they said there was space for 1 of us, but not both of us.
When we mentioned that we are on one booking and then we’ll both have to rebook, they said that only 1 of us can get compensation since there was space for the other.
If this is not Chutzpo, what is Chutzpo?
but he didnt even say there was a bomb on the plane. he said he was going to say. Innocent on all charges.
