Someone has faked New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn’s website, and she’s not laughing.

The website, quinnfornewyork.org, mocks Quinn’s opposition to mandatory paid sick leave.

It says “It’s Time for a Vote.”

Quinn has maintained that she supports the idea of paid sick leave legislation but that it doesn’t make sound economic sense now. She says it would hurt small businesses.

The Council speaker called the spoof “unfortunate.” Quinn said it was not her mayoral campaign website and that she has not changed her position on mandatory paid sick leave.

It was not known who was behind the fake website that mimics Quinn’s real site and address.

The site was registered in February by YoHost.org, a Panama company that allows people to set up websites anonymously.
