In the accompanying video, HaGaon HaRav Shimon Ba’adani Shlita, a member of Shas’ Moetzas Gedolei Torah, speaks out in favor of the Degel Hatorah candidate for mayor of Elad, Yitzchak Pindrus.

Rav Ba’adani at first did not back the candidate, which his Shas party has also agreed to support, but rather praised the performance of the current mayor, Yisrael Porush of Agudas Yisrael, whom both Shas and Degel Hatorah wish to see out of City Hall.

Earlier this week, Rav Ba’adani announced that now, he too backs Pindrus’ effort to unseat Porush.
