#1 I agree it’s unusual. I’m wondering if they are physically loss (In danger) or the family feels he is lost (getting into alcohol, gambling, worse). Asking with all seriousness.

I hate to burst your bubble but people go missing everyday. Sometimes intentional sometimes not.
