According to Hadassah Hospital spokesperson Hadar Elboim, the man who set himself on fire after pouring flammable liquid on himself on Monday, 29 Tishrei, has died of his massive injuries in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on Wednesday, 1 Marcheshvan.
According to the report, the man died in an intensive care unit during the night.
The report adds, “The man who sustained extensive injuries whose entire body was burned, died during the night. He sustained extensive burns over his entire body. He was cared for with determination during the last days while in the intensive care unit”.
Police have succeeded in identifying the man, Yaakov Wolk, and after notifying distant relatives. He was originally hospitalized as an anonymous person in the hospital, since he had no identification papers. According to reports, Wolk was a homeless man who traveled extensively in the Jerusalem shuk area and spent a period of time in the city’s mental health hostel.”
The 60-year-old Wolk set himself on fire in Liberty Bell Park earlier in the week, as reported by YWN-Israel.
