Hussein Ali, the Muslim teen who is accused of yelling “Allah Akbar” and snatching the yarmulka from the head of a Lubavitcher Yeshiva Bochur in a Brooklyn subway station, was arraigned on grand larceny charges yesterday, the NY Post reported.
19-year-old Hussein, was released on $5,000 bail following his arraignment in Brooklyn Supreme Court yesterday on charges of grand larceny as a hate crime, and aggravated harassment. He is facing seven years behind bars.
YWN had reported (HERE) that the Yeshiva Bochur had chased his Arab attacker into the street – where he was struck by a car, landing him in the hospital with multiple leg fractures.
“I think it’s a typical government overreaction,” said Ali’s lawyer, Paul Petrus, of the charges. “It’s probably the largest list of charges for a subway skirmish in the history of Brooklyn.”
He said his client, a college student, was still in considerable pain from three fractures to his left leg.

We need to keep an eye on this situation!!!.
This is the way it started in France 3-years ago with Yarmulka snatching and then beating and now no-one wears a yarmulke in France. We need to follow this to the end and if necessary make our elected officials get involved so that the message is spread that we will not tolerate this. Hashem Yazor if this guy beats the rap. If he does more (Hasve Shalom) will follow. This is why the lawyer is saying a “a college student, considerable pain from three fractures to his left leg” this is a preparation to plea bargain down the crime.
