(UPDATES POSTED BELOW) 2:20PM EST: Miami police say at least five people have been injured, and one person may have died, after a portion of a crane working on a high-rise construction project fell through the roof of an adjacent home being used as office space for the construction project.

The accident happened in the 2200 block of N. Bayshore drive in Miami just before 2:00PM EST.

UPDATE 3:22PM EST: Two construction workers are dead and four others injured in the crane collapse at a Miami high-rise condominium construction site. Officials tell the Associated Press, that crane fell on top of an unoccupied home that the contractor used as an office.

The accident comes 10 days after a crane collapsed at a New York construction site, killing seven people – reported HERE on YWN.
