Two Arabs who attempted to break into a home of the Belzer Rebbe Shlita are in custody. The two, construction workers in Telshe Stone, were arrested by the community’s security officer as they were trying to break into the rebbe’s home in that community located at the end of Bal Shem Tov Street.

Apparently, the security system in the home alerted the rebbe’s gabbai of an intrusion and he in turn notified police. The two were in the custody of the community security officer before they realized what was going on, and police were on the scene very short time after.

The burglars did not even make it inside the home as the motion detectors were set off on the property and the gabbai’s immediate notification foiled their plan. They were remanded in a Jerusalem court on Thursday morning 18 Adar 5773, ordered held over until Friday.

It is explained the rebbe was in Yerushalayim and generally speaking the Telshe Stone residence is used between Pesach and Shavuos along with other times the rebbe seeks a break from his rigid schedule.
