Police officials announced on Tuesday 16 Adar 5773 that they are now certain the incriminating letter against Minister of Education Gideon Saar is bogus. The letter against Minister Gideon Saar has been determined as an attempt to besmirch his career, and it in no way represents any law-breaking or inappropriate actions on the part of the minister.

YWN-ISRAEL reported the minister was targeted in a publically released letter that if found to be factual, would have compelled him to submit his resignation and end his political career. Police Chief Yochanan Danino made the announcement clearing the minister, explaining they are still trying to determine who disseminated the letter and why.
