According to reports, at about 11:00PM on Friday night, a woman and her husband were waiting for care in the emergency room of Wolfson Hospital in Rehovot. At some point, she asked a clerk how much longer it would be before they are called.

Reports state that there was some discussion and at some point, a security guard approached the woman and ordered her to move from the counter, and when she did not immediately respond, he shoved her in such a way that she banged her head against the wall and fell to the ground, at which time he allegedly continued kicking her.

Other guards present simply stood by and watched, witness report, stressing they permitted the guard to continue to release his anger at the injured woman.

The video shows a woman on the ground, and there are blood spots leading to her and when lifted, one can see a head injury. We do not see an assault occur.

It is also reported the same security guard was allegedly involved in a number of incidents last week in which he used physical force against persons.

Following is the response from the hospital, released by the spokesperson’s office.

“Last Friday night, the emergency room staff at the Wolfson Medical Center was attacked by a couple who were documented in a video now being distributed on social networks.

“The couple was asked to evacuate from the emergency room because they used an unreasonable and ongoing force against our security guards. Unfortunately, the information distributed on social networks is based on videos taken by civilians at the end of the event, and they do not document the entire event.

“Wolfson Medical Center condemns acts of violence of any kind and acts to eradicate it by all means at its disposal. We are prohibited from adding, since the matter is currently being investigated by the police.”
