The young Frum woman taken into custody by IDF military police, was released on Sunday night the eve of 16 Elul from military prison. A protest was held on her behalf, on Sunday, outside the Jaffa Military Prison as a hearing on her case was taking place.
The 20-year-old was arrested about two weeks ago for being AWOL from IDF service. She claims to have submitted the required paperwork attesting to her frum lifestyle, declaring she would not be serving. However, the military did not accept her declaration, explaining the paperwork was submitted late, and in addition, she had attended a non-religious school.
There have been protests since her arrest, during which time her remand was extended twice.
The decision to release her was made at the Sunday hearing.

e willing to be killed over this issue is funnier. As if draft-dodging is a capital crime. It’s also a bit insulting – insinuating that they’re putting their lives at risk when they’re not, while refusing to join those who are.

For the male draft The signs are just
“crying wolf”
Regarding drafting of females however
they should ” be killed”
or something close,if it would come to it,
rather than transgress
Once again we get to see YWN anti Frum agenda!!!
It’s headlines like these that make me wonder what kind of site is this??????????
“Young Woman Claiming to be Frum…” Seriously? As if it’s relevant whether she is frum or not – the psak of yaihareig v’al yaavor applies to All bnos yisroel – what’s your point, YWN?
