VIDEOS: Four Years: 1,460 Days Following Operation Protective Edge

The display shows 1,460 Golani Brigade and Givati Brigade berets in draw attention to the plight of the families of IDF soldiers Lt. Hadar Goldin HY”D and Sgt. Oren Shaul HY”D, whose bodies were taken during a battle in Rafiach, Gaza, four years ago, after they fell in battle during Operation Protective Edge.

Sunday, 26 August, marks four years since the IDF counter-terrorism offensive in Gaza known as Operation Protective Edge. The Misdar Hadar NGO on Sunday morning, in Sharona Gardens opposite the Kirya Defense Ministry complex in Tel Aviv, have set up a display marking 1,450 days since they were killed, and their bodies snatched by Hamas. The numbers are filled in with purple Givati berets and brown Golani berets.

At 6:00PM, an event marking the fourth anniversary is taking place with the participation of former Defense Minister, MK Amir Peretz, MK Oren Chazon and members of the Goldin family.

The beret display will continue during the week and beginning at 5:00PM Sunday, there will be ‘solidarity activities’ in the area for those wishing to show their solidarity with the Shaul and Hadar families.
