In what some are calling “a miracle,” sounds of explosions were heard in Ponevezh Yeshiva before Shabbos ended. A number of lights apparently fell from the ceiling, and B’chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries and damage was relatively light.

There was a measure of panic however, as it was dark and the many bochrim present were uncertain as to the cause of the explosive sounds. It is reported that HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Povarsky Shlita were not present at the time.
