Sharon district police reported on Thursday morning, 5 Elul, that they received reports of swastika graffiti along with the letters “SS” in the city. A 36-year-old suspect has been taken into custody.
Police report that the graffiti was painted on a shul and a branch of Bituach Leumi in the city. When police tried taking the suspect into custody, he attacked them with an electric drill. Police were uninjured, and they succeeded in restraining the suspect with a taser.
Police gathered evidence connecting the suspect, a resident of the city, to three graffiti attacks on Wednesday. He was identified and arrested at his home. He was arraigned in the Petach Tikva Magistrate Court on Thursday.
