MDA received the call at 7:39PM on Tuesday evening, the eve of 13 Menachem Av, for a one-year-old who stopped breathing in Jerusalem. The child was treated and transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital in critical condition as CPR was performed.

The call was in the Romeima neighborhood of the capital, for a child who drowned in a pail of water in his home.

EMS officials once again alert parents to the need to do their utmost to make homes child safe, including distancing potentially harmful items from small children.
