Manhattan: Street Closures Due To Crane Collapse


In regards to yesterday’s fatal crane collapse in Manhattan, WCBSTV has informed YWN of the following street colures in the area: 

STREET CLOSURES:
2nd Avenue is closed between 57th and 48th Street.
Traffic on 2nd Avenue between 56th and 53rd Streets – crosstown only.
52nd Street is closed at Third Avenue.
51st Street is closed at First Avenue. 
50th Street is closed at Third Avenue. 
49th Street is closed at First Avenue. 
48th Street is closed at Third Avenue. 

BUS ROUTES:
MTA New York City Transit Service Alert:
Due to the crane collapse at the intersection of 51st Street and 2nd Avenue, the following detours are in affect:
M50 and M27 East bound, regular route on 50th Street, right on Lexington avenue, left on 42nd Street, then regular route.

M50 and M27 West bound, regular route on 2nd Avenue, left on East 42nd Street, right on 3rd Avenue, left on 49th Street then regular route.

M15 South bound, regular route on 2nd Avenue, right on 57th Street, left on Lexington avenue, left on East 42nd Street right on 2nd Avenue then regular.

Customers should expect delays in service, and allow additional travel time for their commutes.
