  2. Can someone close to the Feinstein family please confirm Rav Reuven’s mother’s name (Reb Moshe’s rebbetzin)? I have seen both Shima and Sima.

    Thank you!

  3. Simple eitza!
Just say Sima like a litvak and it’s pronounced Shima!

Mirel, states the rebbitzin’s name reversed!! The rebbitzen is Ita Devorah bas Chava Sarah l’refuah Shlaima

  4. The Rosh Yeshiva’s mothers’ name was pronounced Shima, yet spelled Sima due to the accent that she had when she told the American passport controller her name. I am marrieed to her great grand daughter who does the same.

  5. Definitely Shima. Many people thinks it’s Sima because it sounds more familiar and Shima looks and sounds strange to our ears, but Rebbetzin Feinstein a”h’s name was Shima.
