President Trump addressed the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Kansas City on Tuesday, and used the speech to touch on some of his favorite topics, including illegal immigration, Democrats, the “fake news” media, and unfair trade deals.
But the President divulged some new details on the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Trump said that many previous Presidents had made a promise to make the move, but ultimately backed down. Trump said he now understand why, as he was “inundated with calls from Kings, Presidents, and Dictators, demanding that he not move the Embassy”.
President Trump told the audience how he ignored all their phone calls when learning what they wanted to talk about, and returned their calls a week later – after the move was announced, and the plans in place.
