United Hatzalah (UH) EMS personnel in the northern district on Monday morning responded to a call for a group of girls who dove into the Kinneret near the Chrui shore in Tiveria.
UH EMTs gave primary medical care to an 18-year-old girl who was moderately injured. She was extricated from the water by an Israel Police marine unit and transported by in a UH ambulance to Poriah Hospital in Tiveria.
Yossi Oknin, a member of the UH marine unit said: “According to the reports of their girlfriends, they jumped together from a diving area and were injured. One of the girls ingested a quantity of water and almost drowned. We arrived at the site in a rescue boat with the assistance of the police marine unit and rescued four girls.”
