HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita on motzei Shabbos 1 Rosh Chodesh 5773 told those gathered in his home that he remains confident the “harsh gezeira” will soon vanish in the merit of ‘Baruch Mordechai’, and we will soon see ‘Arur Haman’. An urgent meeting was held in the rav’s Jerusalem home in the Shaare Chessed area after a number of talmidim received their first draft notice, beginning the induction into the IDF.
The rav reportedly met and spoke with his talmidim, telling them that if the current process continues and they are compelled to serve, “we will fight with them to the end”.
The rav added “בעזרת השם הישועה קרובה לבוא ונראה ניסים, הגזירה תתבטל בקרוב.”

You have to respect Rav Auerbach who is known to strongly disagree with the proposal to require yeshiva bochurim to fight in the IDF to defend the medinah but at the same time tells his talmidim that if the proposals become law , they should join and fight with the IDF.
Moderators Note: Rav Auerbach said no such thing. You lie, and defame the words of a holy Gadol like Rav Auerbach.
Amen!
It is not a bad gzeira!! it called social responsibility!! by contributing equally its a kiddush hashem the fighting to be special and different than everyone else is a chilul hashem
To the Moderator:
You are correct. The quote from the article, read quickly, “we will fight WITH THEM to the end” implied that as a last resort, Rav Auerbach was saying that they should obey the law of the land, if the law is changed, and fight alongside the IDF. What is really is saying they should fight AGAINST THEM, where “them” are the politicians who are working to change the law.
