ALERT – Con Artist In Boro Park Claims Cars Hit Him, Threatens To Sue If Cash Not Given

The person in the attached photo is known for allegedly walking into cars at red lights or coming out of parking spots, etc.

He then goes over to the driver, shows him or her a broken phone, appears to be limping or other injuries and demands payment – saying he will sue if he is not paid.

He has different types of hairstyles (porcupine hair, etc.) and sometimes a shaved beard.

He is frequently on 18th Avenue – high 50s/low 60th Streets.

If this happens to you, calmly tell him that you will pull over, and call Police/Shomrim to file a report. He usually walks away when told that. Either way, police should be notified about the incident.

The YWN Instagram page published videos of the individual in action in Flatbush several months ago.

  1. What did you do, Sanzer, did what it says in the article work.
Btw, the article did not say what Shomrims number is for us non boro parkers who still visit boro park.

  2. Seems there is ample evidence of this scam. Did this dude ever hear of “chaptzem”? The next time he tries this, there should be a cry for community to surround him and wait for police to arrest him. Solved.

  3. The liitle I know: I don’t think it’s an eitzah to do a chaptzem for a non-violent crime. 1st of all, goyim who don’t know what’s happening might see stam frume yidden surrounding him as some kind of “Jewish Mob”. 2nd of all, I’m not a lawyer, but I have a strong suspicion that stopping a non-violent criminal by force even if no one touches him might lead to legal issues. Thirdly, it might lead to use of physical force, leading to more legal issues.
The better eitzah is to have BP Shomrim document every case, and then they and their kehila’s asganim can approach the Police about the guy, and ask if they can put a warrant on him.
