On Sunday night, the eve of 4 Menachem Av, authorities arrested a Kalandia resident who hid two mobile phones on his body. According to the report, officials were alerted to the man’s actions by intelligence information, that he was going to get himself arrested for a minor offence and then sell the mobile phones to prisoners imprisoned in Israel.

It is added that the suspect, a PA (Palestine Authority) resident, presented himself as someone else to security forces. He was planning to sell each phone inside prison for NIS 15,000!

Israel Prison Service officials report this is not the first time a PA resident tried to get himself arrested to enter prison in the hope of selling cellular telephones.
