There was a bit of speculation when the photographers captured a shot of Yahadut Hatorah’s Rav Yisrael Eichler speaking with Yesh Atid’s Yair Lapid in Knesset on Tuesday 25 Shevat 5773, during the 19th Knesset swearing-in ceremony.

Ladaat.info managed to speak with Eichler to ask if he would disclose the nature of that conversation, and he was willing.

“I told him that his father Tommy asked me at this ceremony ten years ago to maintain mutual respect and I told him the kovod of bachurei yeshiva is my kovod and if you do not compromise their kovod, I will not compromise yours.”
