Indictments will be handed down against two persons suspected of smuggling drugs using a suitcase with a false wall. The defendants are members of the Chareidi communitiesin Beit Shemesh and Bnei Brak. They were apprehended by customs agents at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
The police investigation began when one of the suspects returned from Eastern Europe. In a police investigation, a double wall was found in a suitcase containing material suspected of being a dangerous, revealed to be three kilograms of cocaine, valued at about 1.5 million shekels.
The 21-year-old suspect from Beit Shemesh was arrested and brought for questioning by the police, during which suspicion arose against a 23-year-old suspect from Bnei Brak who was allegedly supposed to receive the suitcase containing the drugs.
The suspects were questioned by the police on suspicion of importing dangerous drugs and conspiring to commit a crime.
The detention of the 21-year-old was extended by the court and the 23-year-old was released to house arrest.
