While elections are over and efforts to form a coalition are underway, all is not quiet for Rav Amnon Yitzchak. After releasing his video message to the tzibur following his defeat, failing to meet the minimum threshold to enter the Knesset, Rav Amnon is now being placed on the black list for tzedaka by HaGaon HaRav Avraham Yosef.

It appears that an inquiry was made to Holon Chief Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Avraham Yosef, a son of Maran Rav Ovadia, Rav Avraham told the party one may not donate to the mosdos affiliated with Rav Amnon Yitzchak.

The rav is quoted as saying “It is a large mitzvah to distance oneself from him and to stop funding his mosdos for doing so is avoda zara for haughtiness מעבירה את האדם על דעתו ועל דעת קונו.

Quoted on the Moreshet website, the rav explains if we were dealing with a reckless drunk, a witless individual, it would be different but here, to our sorrow, he poses a threat to every radio station for their air his words and he takes advantage of the medium backed by the court.

Rabbi Avraham Yosef adds that “this man received the best possible attention from Gedolei Hador, including my father and master, Maran Shlita, but his stupid ingratitude brought him to this lowest possible low, of which we say a person can lose it all in an hour. (יש מאבד עולמו בשעה אחת)

A Koach L’Hashpiah support rally is scheduled in Petach Tikvah on Wednesday, 19 Shevat 5773. Rav Amnon is expected to take part in the event.
