A Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) report released on Wednesday, 14 Tammuz, shows chareidim are generally more satisfied with life.
According to the report, at the end of 2016, 75% of the population in Israel was Jewish, approximately 20% were Arab and 5% ‘other’. Among the Jews, about 45% define themselves as secular, 25% traditional, 15% very religious, and 14% chareidi.
According to forecasts, the chareidi population will grow significantly over the next few years, from 11% today, to 32% in 2065.
According to the report, Jews are more satisfied with their lives than Arabs, but among the Jews, the chareidim are more satisfied with their lives and their economic situation than with the rest of the population. It is noted that 91% of the chareidim contributed money to organizations or private individuals during the year, compared to only 60% of the secular population.

Among the Jews who travel, only 17% of chareidim traveled abroad for vacation as compared to 60% among the secular sector.

Among the Jews, 92% of the secular are connected to the net as compared to 40% among chareidim.
How many feel they are poor?
12% of persons 20 and over feel they are poor.
Among the Jews, 8% of chareidim and 7% non-chareidi feel they are poor.
Smoking & exercise
Secular Jews smoke 2.3 times as much as chareidim do. In the Arab sector, the percentage of smokers has weakened as the level of religiosity is stronger.
A third of the Jews engage in physical activity, but the higher the level of religious observance, the fewer people engage in physical activity.

In before the MO readers start commenting only about the fact that Chareidim exercise less.
We Americans have a lot to learn from them. Literally שמח בחלקו.
Then WHY do they shnorr so much? It is true, they live a more serene life there, not as high pressure & rushed.
I have noticed that there is a new trend among yeshiva bochrim and young avachim to smoke. Shame….
