A man identifying himself as a rising Georgetown University senior posted video on Twitter Tuesday of a group confronting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, as they left an event at the school.
The man says on Twitter that his name is Roberto, and that his parents are Mexican immigrants.
He writes that a friend texted him letting him know that McConnell and Chao were on the campus.
“…I was infuriated that a man who blocked the Dream Act and a Trump cabinet official were invited to my campus. As a result, my friends quickly mobilized and went to the event that was held inside Copley Formal.”
As shown in the video below, the group played a clip of ProPublica audio that has been widely circulated, which apparently contains the sounds of children being separated from their families at the U.S./Mexico border.
More than 2,000 children have been separated from their parents in recent weeks and placed in government-contracted shelters — hundreds of miles away, in some cases — under a now-abandoned policy toward families caught illegally entering the U.S.
“Why don’t you leave my husband alone?” Chao yelled at the group.
One of the men who confronted the pair yelled back: “How do you sleep at night?”

These Mexican illegals protest as though they are entitled to enter the US. They ignore the issues of human trafficking, smugglers using other’s children to breach legal immigration law, and the lack of required vetting of any arrivals. These lawless complainers should be jailed and returned to their home countries. Most of kids from the border aren’t with their parents, because their parents did not accompany them. These parents took the gamble of sending young children with “guardian smugglers” to get in to the US, so that they could then claim family re-unification citizenship. How much do they pay the smugglers for this service? Shut them out, and send the kids back to their home countries via host social services. The countries supplying these immigrants should be penalized with sanctions.
