Recently there have been an increase in carjacking incidents in the West Binyamin area: three cases of attempted carjackings between the Doar Junction and the communities of Talmon and Neria, including the route to Talmon. In all three cases, the robbery was carried out using violent means, such as breaking windows and/or removing the driver from the vehicle by force.

The security wing of the Binyamin Regional Council sent the residents a detailed letter of instructions, the most important of which was to increase alertness while driving, to drive with locked doors, to report anything suspicious to the Moked emergency operator, having protective windows [which would prevent a would-be carjacker from smashing them] and to have one’s cellular phone handy.
