Final & Official 19th Knesset Election Results


The Central Election Committee has released the final results of this week’s general election for the 19th Knesset. That mean all the votes have been counted, including diplomatic corps, IDF, prisons and hospitals.

An additional 217,000 votes have been counted, and the result brings good news for some, including MK Shaul Mofaz, who has officially crossed the minimum threshold and he and colleague Yisrael Hasson will represent their party in the 19th Knesset.

In HaBayit HaYehudi there are smiles as well as the party moves ahead of Shas, earning an additional seat, now at 12, bringing Shuli Meulam into Knesset.

There was speculation that the seventh Yahadut Hatorah seat would move to Shas due to the surplus agreements, but 400 votes made the difference and Yahadut Hatorah remains with 7 mandates and Shas 11.

The minimum threshold to enter Knesset in this election was set at 76,000 votes, representing 2% of the legitimate votes. Any party earning less than this number did not receive a place in Knesset.

The final party breakdown for the 19th Knesset as follows:

Likud/Beitenu – 31

Yesh Atid – 19

Labor – 15

Bayit HaYehudi – 12 (gained a seat in the final count)

Shas – 11

Arab parties – 11 (Ra’am-Ta’al lost a seat in the final count)

The Movement – 6

Yahadut Hatorah – 7

Meretz – 6

Kadima – 2 (passed minimum threshold in the final count)

· Total number of eligible voters: 5,656,705

· Total number of votes: 3,818,441

· Voter turnout: 67.52%

· Valid votes: 3,777,977

· Disqualified votes: 40,464
