A fire broke out in an Ohr Yehuda shul on Wednesday morning 12 Shevat 5773. B’chasdei Hashem firefighters responded quickly and began working to bring the blaze under control.
The blaze began at about 6:30am in the shul on Shlomo Dardashti Street. After it was declared under control firefighters entered and removed the four Sifrei Torah, which B’chasdei Hashem survived the blaze. The Sifrei Torah were undamaged to the amazement of firemen and the tzibur at large since the blaze was significant.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
