The FDNY is battling a four-alarm fire in a 5-story apartment building in Washington Heights.

The fire started just after 8:00PM, at 2440 Amsterdam Avenue just off West 181st Street.

No injuries are reported.

There are over 150 firefighters at the scene. Extra firefighters were called to the scene because of the cold temperatures.

Two MTA buses are heading to the scene for temporary shelter for the residents. The Sanitation Department is sending a salt spreader for icing conditions.
