Yahadut Hatorah MK Menachem Eliezer Moses, the Vishnitzer Rebbe’s representative in Knesset, spoke with Kol Berama Radio host Noam Zeigman on Monday, 28 Sivan.
Following is a synopsis of Moses’ statements:
To date, everything regarding the new draft bill has been oral and to date, we have not even received a draft [in writing]. There are leaks and discussion, but nothing official. I protest that to date, it has only been “the professionals” dealing with this. What about us? Whatever the case, the decision will be based on the Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael.
Whatever the case will be I am opposed to economic or other sanctions, a concept that come from ‘Beis Lapid’, dating back to the Russian Czar. Bottom line, if it is not accepted by Gedolei Yisrael, it makes no difference what will be.
Zeigman
You have been speaking for two minutes and it appears you do indeed know what to expect.
Moses
Generally speaking I know what is contained.
Zeigman
From the news or Lieberman’s people?
Moses
Both. There are going to be quotas and how much time until they are achieved. What bothers me the most is the issue of ‘sanctions’. Do they have such sanctions in universities in places where they celebrate the Nakba? Are we second rate citizens?
Whatever the case, until it reaches the desk of the attorney general for approval and then Gedolei Yisrael, it is all my opinion which does not carry weight.
