About 18 months ago, the headline spoke of the unbelievable tragedy that impacted Moshav Migdal on a Shabbos R”L; the murders of Mrs. Dor Sela (23) a”h, and her children Yosef (22 months) z”l and Binyamin (8 months) z”l and 11-year-old Nachman Atiya z”l, were reported. The murders were committed by her husband, Mr. Sela.

Now, there is simchas as a girl was born to the Atiya family. According to a Yediot Achronot report on Friday, 25 Sivan, a 3.34kg baby girl was born to the family in Poriah Hospital in Tiveria.

Yisrael Atiya is the proud father according to the report, who describes the birth “a gift that follows the tragedy. This is our ninth child. Today, we have five girls and three boys, and we are so happy with this new life entering the family. It is a large simcha following the tragedy. The baby will give us koach to recover from the heavy mourning.”

Ironically, last week, Mr. Sela was convicted in the murders and he was sentenced to four life sentences plus ten years.
