Otzma Yisrael Party officials report that two teens, 15-year-old girls, were attacked in Lod as they distributed flyers in the area for the upcoming elections. The attack occurred on Sunday evening, 9 Shevat 5773.

The victims reported the attackers were distributing flyers for the Ra’am-Ta’al Party and MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi.

After the girls reported the assault to party officials a vehicle was sent immediately to pick them up. When the vehicle arrived, the attackers began throwing rocks and cinder blocks at them. Windows were smashed and there was other damage to the vehicle. The two girls were also injured lightly from glass shards.

Otzma Yisrael officials announced they plan to visit Lod on Monday, condemning the attack by “brave ones” against two girls, calling on them to return and try their luck against them when they arrive.

Officials concluded with a statement; “It is unacceptable that in Lod, in the State of Israel, young people are attacked simply because they are Jews.”
