VIDEO & PHOTOS: Israeli Police Violently Remove Chareidi Protesters From Rt 38 Construction Site

(PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Hundreds of protesters traveled to the Route 38, the new Beit Shemesh road area, to protest the ongoing construction at an archeological site, to protest the desecration of kevarim. The situation turned ugly as police used “unjustifiable force” according to participants, who report the Admor of Khal Chassidim was among those who sustained blows from police.

The protesters overran the construction site and refused to leave. They want to stop the road expansion claiming it is at the expense of kevarim.

The protestors succeeded in gaining access into the site and caused a cessation of work. Police used pepper spray at one point as they tried to evict the protestors. They claim the most violent were the Arab ‘guards’ at the site, who were most pleased to beat them. Protest leaders add that border police removed their name tags in violation of regulations, to make it more difficult to identify them.

A police spokesman reports 300 persons took part in the violent protest and five were arrested.

  1. I’m seeing cops with kippas beating their own brothers while our ancestors accepted beatings from the egyptians by not striking a fellow Jew. How terrible!!

  2. Nebish
We are in big tzoros when we are against each other to such an extent the police have always been too aggressive towards blacks not that the blacks don’t deserve it sometimes
However to bring female police is premeditated rishus when they know there are not going to be any female demonstrates

  3. Deadending loosers who pervert Judaism wile they howl like mokeys should be airlifted to safety in Syria or Kandahar province where their extremist views will be well received.

  4. I actually live not to far from this construction site …. I wasn’t there during the protests, but I can tell you this for sure…..
all the protests are deliberately misleading the “oilim goilim” ….
they don’t ever protest when a shul gets built …. why isn’t there any bones under the shuls ?… why only by the roads…?
I’ll tell you why …. these protests are by in large from the Asra Kedisha who are basically crooks and frauds…
they get money from developers to keep quiet , but the roads are built by the municipalities and they cant be shaken down by this Asra Kedisha mob …..

  5. Before construction can take place, investigation of whether or not there are Jewish Kevarim in the area is investigated. The time to disagree with the findings is then, not now.

  6. And the demonstrators know for a fact that there a “kevarim” there because they personally buried the deceased? Because they have authentic burial society documents? Because they have “ruach hakodesh” and G-d told them?

  7. “to bring female police is premeditated rishus”
@Loshenhora: Puhleeze, these young hoodlums want nothing more than to have a female poilce officer touch them. They are a bunch of perverts. Gives them a chance to feel a cop and vice versa.
Stop defending these losers. They provide nothing to society and never will. Spare me the “they sit and learn” BS. They dont learn a word. Proven by the fact that the same bums show up at every demostration. Where is the fat boy from all the peleg riots?

  8. This makes me so angry. I also live nearby & travel the 38 almost every day. I agree with Satmer101- There is a developer near me who had to shell out 1 million nis to get rid of these thugs so he could finish the villa he was building. There were no bones there, & there aren’t any on this hillside either. They should be jailed, not merely carted off, & if they get beaten, I’m sure they deserve it. This is all about money & nothing to do with kedusha.

I am ashamed of these animals. BoysWork – sadly, I think you’re right re perversion. As for Fat Gingy, he isn’t interested in imaginary dead people, he is only interested in trying to stop the draft, that’s why he doesn’t show up here.

  9. When anyone in the world, even a non-frum Israeli politician, utters any sort of slur against Jews or Judaism, everyone — including YWN — is jumping up and down hollering “you are an anti-Semite!” So, why then are comments the likes of which appear here (and on some other articles) being published? Don’t you think that if even one gentile Jew hater reads or hears about this, they are ecstatic. “If the so-called Orthodox Kikes talk this way about themselves — it’s surely a sign that we’re right!! (chas ve’shalom). The problem starts with the very tone of the original article, that practically invites responses that feature absolutely horrendous anti-Semitic language against other frum Jews. I’m not even discussing who’s right, and whether or not it’s all just a money game (entirely possible BTW). This is not just bantering in the shteibel or the Friday afternoon mikve. You are publishing serious anti-Semitic vitriol that can be read by anyone anywhere in the world that might be fueling the fires of Jew hatred in the world. Is this enhancing kovod shomayim? And please don’t try to claim, “but we are entitled to reveal the truth about all this.” Because, as I’ve posted in the past, Jew-haters throughout history have convinced themselves that “they are right” and that “their hatred of Jews/Judaism is justified.” The path to Zyclon B and Einsatzgruppen was preceded by years of caricaturing Jews in Der Sturmer and in Nazi propaganda speeches. We can have discussions and even disagreements without name-calling that damages the Torah’s reputation and that of fellow (frum!) Jews. Rabosai, for the sake of all of our people — let’s tone down the rhetoric and choose our adjectives more carefully. It’s not about what’s right or wrong; it’s about how your words are perceived by others. If we’re not showing respect for ourselves, how can we expect others to do so?
