Appearing on Channel 2’s Meet the Press on motzei Shabbos 8 Shevat 5773, Bayit HaYehudi leader Naftali Bennett made a public call to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, stating “I am making an appeal to Netanyahu, Mr. Prime Minister, you are signed on the disparaging campaign against the dati leumi tzibur which reminds me it is just as they did to you after the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin.

“The prime minister launched a campaign the likes of which I do not recall, ever. The prime minister may not once again enter the armored personnel carrier and attack the kippa sruga community as he does not understand the historic damage done by these actions against the very tzibur that placed him in office twice.”

Likud officials countered Bennett’s statement with attacks and allegations, but failed to address the facts.
