HaAdmor Rabbi David Abuchatzera has joined the list of prominent rabbonim publically endorsing Shas.
Kikar Shabbat quotes the rav as saying “It is a mitzvah to adhere to the words of talmidei chachamim…Maran Posek Hador has already spoken and we must all respond Amen after his words.”
In his letter, Rav Abuchatzera instructs followers to vote for Shas, especially in light of the “harsh gezeiros that may befall the Torah tzibur and the attack against everything holy”.
The rav goes on to explain how “Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita has been moser nefesh for Shas and In order to bring joy to Maran Shlita, we must act with a fervor to vote Shas and to exert our influence on others towards Shas’ election success”.

One Response
I do not recall the politics in Israel among some chareidi parties being as intense as it has been this year. While it is not for me to judge who is right and who is wrong, I am getting the sense that all of the main stream gedolim are backing Rav Ovadia Shlit”a. This being said, I am having a difficult time understanding the intention of a different adam gadol who seems to be dismissing these endorsements and is passionately pursing his own individual party. Perhaps, he feels that he his on the level that he can argue with all of these other gedolim. However, I feel that something is always fishy when everyone feels very confident that one way is right, and when one individual feels strongly about the opposite, (especially when that individual has a lot to gain from his different opinion).
