Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced the opening of the Gaza border at Rafiach for the month of Ramadan. In his Twitter message, the Egyptian leader last week tweeted he wishes to “alleviate the suffering of his brothers in Gaza”.

Interestingly, despite global concerns with a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, pressure is placed exclusively on Israel to ease border crossings, all the while the Rafiach Crossing on the Egyptian side remains closed and this the world accepts without criticism.
