Betar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein has turned to chareidi elected officials in Knesset to complain of what he feels is a “disgraceful situation” in Meron on Lag B’Omer. He refers to plans by officials to restrict enter to the holy site this year.

Rubinstein sent an urgent letter to the chareidi MKs calling for their immediate attention as currently, officials are limiting the number of tickets to Meron for Lag B’Omer.

He warns by doing so, limiting bus tickets, will result in many people trying to get there by alternative means and this will lead to greater chaos and havoc on the roads leading to and from the tziyun of the Rashbi.
