DRAFT LAW SHOWDOWN: Litzman Hints The Coalition’s Days Are Numbered


Deputy Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman is signaling his patience are limited and if the draft law is not passed by the end of the current session, he will do his best to break up the coalition.

Litzman explained that there are two months remaining to the current session and if the draft law is not passed by then, the Moetzas Gedolei Torah will convene and act accordingly. He made his comments during an address to hundreds of Gerrer Chassidim. Litzman made it clear, that if the new drat law is not passed, then they will compel early elections.

  1. Lol! This is the 3rd or 4th time Litzman is threatening to take down the coalition. Mark my words, it won’t happen.
    Anyway its not much of a threat, as elections are just around the corner, that is if Netanyahu doesn’t call for early elections himself.
    If not for the fact that we are dealing with the spiritual life of tens of thousands of yeshiva bochurim, whom will all be forced into the army in 140 days (if a new law is not passed), this would be the biggest joke.
